A couple of years ago, I was finding myself constantly tired, irritated and on a first-name basis with my GP. Weekly pizza nights, sweets on my desk at work, chocolate and afterwork binge-drinking nights were taking their toll on my mood, my mind and my body.
Being at a juncture in my life where my work/life balance needed readdressing and reimagining, I travelled, researched and debated with friends and family, agreeing that my diet and lifestyle needed a drastic overhaul.
The discovery of cold-pressed raw juice and raw plant-based food was the epiphany that I needed to change my life around. Adjusting my diet to a whole foods, plant-based diet wasn’t easy at first but by cutting out meat, dairy, refined sugar and gluten, I felt reborn. Now I have fresh homemade veggie juice everyday with balanced healthy meals and I drink lots of water. This way of eating is absolutely not about deprivation and starvation but instead it’s about embracing a positive and healthy new way of life!
